Tasks
- Analyze data and prepare reports
- Conduct environmental monitoring and compliance activities for the protection of wildlife and other natural resources
- Administer medications and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients
- Administer pre-hospital emergency care
- Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
- Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care
- Assist zoo and wildlife workers in transferring, restraining, crating and uncrating animals
- Answer inquiries and provide information to customers
- Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Document patient rehabilitation progress
- Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
- Provide wound and bandage care
- Prepare admission, program, release, transfer and other reports
- Handling animals
- Monitor nutritional intake
- Examine the patient
- Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets
- Coordinate the flow of information within the team
