Job Description:
Lobster Plant Processor
Full-time 40hr ~ 48hrs per week, Occasional overtime required, Casual $14 – $20 /hour
Location: 127 Seal Point Rd, Upper Port La Tour
Job Summary
• Workers are required to work in a lobster pound
• Pack, weigh, grade product, label seafood for shipment order
• Set up and operate machines and equipment’s
• Clean, grade, store, box, weigh, label for cold storage and/or shipment frozen product
• Clean work area and equipment in the plant
• Prior plant work experience is an asset but NOT necessary required
Specific Skills
• Transport raw materials, finished products and scrap materials through the plant
• Drive forklift trucks to transport materials and well service equipment
• Grade and label raw materials or finished products
• Pack, weigh and stack bound and finished products on pallet for shipment
• Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them by hand or forklift truck to work area
• Sort lobsters according to sizes and weight

Lobster Plant Packers and Processors Specific Skills
• Grading, tubing, holding and packing Lobsters prior to sales or further processing
Lobster Plant Machine Operators Specific Skills
• Record production information
• Check products and packaging for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as required
